Claire is senior executive and accountant with almost 20 years’ experience across the private and public sectors. Joining Synectic in 2021, her work history goes beyond traditional accounting and finance roles, spanning hospitality, recruitment, resource consulting, and local government. Claire became a Principal at Synectic in 2024, acknowledging the leadership roles she holds in our business, particularly in our Advisory and Assurance team.
Claire is President at the Devonport Chamber of Commerce and Industry and serves as a volunteer board member for a not-for-profit organisation. These involvements reflect her profound commitment to community and comprehensive understanding of the challenges and prospects facing many of our clients.
Always striving for excellence, Claire also represents her profession on several industry bodies. She is a Tasmanian Divisional Councillor for CPA Australia, a graduate of the 2019 Tasmanian Leaders Program, an independent member of the Department of Treasury and Finance Audit & Risk Management Committee and Chair of the Institute of Internal Auditors (Tasmanian Chapter).
Her strengths include leadership, strategy and business development, stakeholder engagement, project management, financial reporting, management accounting, and governance. She has an extensive background in risk management, quality assurance, compliance, human resources, workforce development, economic development, and digital transformation.
A foodie at heart Claire enjoys cooking up a storm, and appreciates spending time outdoors in the sun and experiencing different cultures.
